Working Student with a focus on Community and Event Management (m/f/d)

Your tasks: As an event and community manager (m/f/d), you will work with us on the development of Europe's largest air freight location at Frankfurt Airport. This includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Preparation and participation in workshops as well as moderation of working groups with members of various companies
  •  Collaboration and support in event management:
    • Conception, planning and implementation of events of the Air Cargo Community in a team and in cooperation with external partners and customers
    • Event management in terms of budgets, time and quality specifications
    • Identification and acquisition of potential event partners, sponsors and speakers for the respective events
    • Conception of a marketing and sales strategy for the corresponding events, including creation of corresponding documents (e.g. pitch decks, posters, social media posts, event website)
  • Creation of sophisticated presentations, communication and marketing materials
  • Support of strategic site development measures within the framework of the association's work (e.g. process optimization, infrastructure measures, etc.)

 

This is what you have in your luggage:

  • Studies in the field of economics, marketing, event management or a comparable field, preferably in advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Initial experience in project management as well as strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking
  • Interest in the conception, planning and implementation of B2B events (e.g. trade fairs, congresses, after-work events)
  • Willingness to take responsibility for events, workshops, projects, etc.
  • Very good moderation and presentation skills as well as high persuasiveness, even at C-level
  • Organizational skills, independent working style, strong communication skills and confident demeanor
  • Solution-oriented attitude and enjoyment in contributing and implementing your own ideas
  • Customer orientation as well as creativity and a healthy dose of pragmatism
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially when creating sophisticated presentations for external partners
  • Experience in using layout, graphic and text design software (e.g. Adobe In-Design) is an advantage
  • Class B driving license

What is the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV? The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV is an association of well-known companies, institutions and associations with the aim of promoting and further developing Frankfurt as an air freight location. Its more than 90 members represent all areas of the air freight process chain, including Lufthansa Cargo, DHL, Kühne+Nagel, Fraport and many other companies and associations. The work of the community is supported by strategic joint projects. The members are involved in cross-company expert groups in order to optimize the location and shape the future of air freight. The common goal is to strengthen Frankfurt Airport as number 1 in the European air freight business and as a leading freight hub. The Frankfurt location, with around 2 million tons of air freight (2023) and 14,000 employees in the cargo sector, is expected to continue to grow sustainably in the coming years.
