Dear Community,

We will continue to bring you exciting news during the summer holidays.

Go-Live of Common PreCheck

On August 1st the time had come: we were able to launch the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt’s first infrastructure project at the site.

The implementation of Common PreCheck follows the goal of easing the traffic situation in CargoCity South and centralizing the registration processes in cargo handling. In implementing the MVP, we focused on booking slots via the FAIR@Link community system. The slots are needed so that the drivers of the trucking companies can fulfill their assignment and start the loading or unloading process at the cargo handling agents. If the slots have not already been booked online in advance, drivers now have the option of booking via the kiosks at Gate 32 in the former registration booth directly next to the barriers.

We are delighted about this joint community success and invite anyone interested to take a look at the infrastructure on site. The exact process is explained in more detail here.

If you have any questions, please contact Lea Walther turn around.

New members – Welcome to the community

Last month we welcomed two new members to our community. A warm welcome to Cargo Movers and SkyCell!

Cargo Movers has its headquarters near Frankfurt Airport and also operates branches in Bremen and Amsterdam. The company offers tailor-made solutions in the areas of air freight, sea freight and road transport. Cargo Movers is particularly specialized in the transport of high-value, sensitive and time-critical goods. We are convinced that Cargo Movers' expertise and network will be a valuable asset to our community.

Another new member is the Swiss company SkyCell SkyCell is an innovative company that specializes in temperature-controlled hybrid containers for pharmaceutical transport. With their technology, they optimize the pharmaceutical supply chain and minimize the risk of temperature fluctuations, which is particularly important for sensitive goods.

SkyCell brings valuable expertise and innovative approaches to our community. We look forward to our future collaboration!

Air Cargo Conference within reach

Preparations are underway, the agenda is set: This year's Air Cargo Conference starts on September 4th! Two interesting days filled with first-class speakers, exciting panel discussions and plenty of networking opportunities await you!

A special highlight this year will be our Sunrise Apron Tour. Thanks to our tour sponsor Lufthansa Cargo, you can take a very special look at Europe's largest air freight hub on the second day of the conference. During our two-hour tour, Frankfurt Airport presents itself in a very special way in the first sunlight of the day. Get your ticket now.

Hub Performance at the Air Cargo Committee of BARIG

At the last BARIG Air Cargo Committee, we held a workshop on the performance of our air cargo location together with representatives from Air Canada Cargo, All Nippon Airways, American Airlines Cargo, Cathay Cargo, Condor, Korean Air, LATAM Cargo and United Cargo. Martina Schikorr (Fraport), Kai Domscheit (CHI), Patrik Tschirch (LUG) and Felix Toepsch (ACCF) presented the optimization potential identified at the location as well as the current projects from the Hub Performance Team.

The presentation and workshop gave the airlines the opportunity to gain insights into how the competence team works. They were also invited to work with the team in order to take the airlines' perspectives into account when considering the planned optimization potential.
