New members – Welcome!
Last month, the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt welcomed four new members into its ranks. This continues the community's encouraging growth of the last few months.
Logineer combines IT expertise with logistics know-how and is the ideal partner for the digitalization of global logistics companies. As a subsidiary of the renowned q.beyond AG, Logineer sets up customized IT infrastructures and ensures a smooth flow of data across national borders and time zones. MSC Air Cargo, the air cargo arm of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), is now part of our community. Senator International, a leading provider of air and sea freight solutions and now part of the Maersk family, has also joined our community. Senator brings decades of experience and an extensive global network to the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt. Milestone achieved in the Hub Performance competence team
The first major milestone in the import and export projects was reached within the Hub Performance Task Force. In recent months, the individual project teams have been working on the representation of the import and export processes and, as part of this, have defined the milestones in the individual process steps. Together, the task force was able to agree on the current situation and thus create the basis for subsequently developing a target process for optimizing cargo operations at Frankfurt Airport. The greatest challenge here was the inclusion of all those involved in the process and the agreement on the process execution in detail. We are proud that we were able to reach this milestone within our air cargo community and thus actively contribute to operational excellence at the site.
Why Common PreCheck: Explanatory videos support usage and communication for customers
Four weeks ago, the centralized ramp slot booking system "Common PreCheck" was launched. As the first joint infrastructure project, Common PreCheck optimizes traffic control in CargoCity South and creates a central point for booking slots for delivering and picking up drivers via the FAIR@Link community platform. Many slots have already been booked in recent weeks and the project team is working on further optimizations of the software, booking terminals and building equipment at Gate 32. Since last week, drinks, snack and coffee vending machines have also been available.
In order to explain the process and use of Common PreCheck as simply as possible to our customers and truckers, explanatory videos in various languages have recently been made available on our YouTube channel (Playlist Common PreCheck).
The available languages are: German, English, Bulgarian, Estonian, Lithuanian, French, Czech, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Russian and Turkish.
