Training as an aviation security screener for cargo and mail using imaging technology in accordance with 11.2.3.2 of Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 (m/f/d)      


Location: 
Frankfurt Airport
Training scope:
200 lessons of 45 minutes each
Dates: 
17.02 – 21.03.2025 or 07.07 – 01.08.2025

Contents of the training:

1. Knowledge of previous unlawful interference with civil aviation, terrorist attacks and current threats
2. Knowledge of relevant legislation and elements that contribute to building a robust and resilient safety culture in the workplace and in the aviation sector, including insider threats and radicalisation
3. Knowledge of the objectives and structure of aviation security, including the obligations and responsibilities of persons controlling supply chain security
4. Ability to identify prohibited items
5. Ability to respond appropriately to the discovery of prohibited items
6. Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of the safety equipment or control procedures used
7. Knowledge of the possibilities for hiding prohibited items
8. Knowledge of emergency measures
9. Knowledge of protection requirements for cargo and mail
10.Knowledge of requirements for screening cargo and mail, including exceptions and special security procedures
11. Knowledge of the respective control methods for the different types of cargo and mail
12. Knowledge of techniques for hand searches
13. Ability to conduct hand searches with sufficient reliability to ensure the discovery of hidden prohibited items
14. Ability to operate the safety equipment used
15. Ability to correctly interpret the images displayed by the safety equipment
16. Knowledge of transport requirements

After successfully completing the training, an examination by the responsible aviation security authority is required, which consists of 3 parts.

Current: 22.39 €/hour. or 3.895,86 € monthly standard salary

Costs and financing:

• The training is certified according to AZAV and can be funded with training vouchers
• For self-payers, the participation fee is €4,800 (exam registration, reliability check according to §7 LuftSiG and medical examination are not included)

Your profile:

• Reliability check according to §7 LuftSiG (can be requested by us)
• Occupational medical confirmation of the suitability of aviation security control personnel in accordance with LuftSiSchulV Annex 1 (to Section 3 Paragraph 2)
• German at C1 level or higher and basic knowledge of English
• Completed secondary school certificate or higher
• Police clearance certificate without entry
• Minimum age 18 years
• Friendly and well-groomed appearance
• Good communication and teamwork skills
