On behalf of leading airlines, we handle air freight for both import and export, offering an attractive range of high-quality services. At our largest location at Frankfurt Airport, we are looking for motivated individuals to strengthen our warehouse team immediately. Air freight handler (m/f/d)
Here's what you can expect from us:
• Palletizing and depalletizing of air freight units
• Processing, recording and checking in shipments using barcode-based IT systems
• Sorting, storing and preparing freight
• Loading and unloading of trucks and loading equipment
• Weighing, measuring and documenting shipments
• Acceptance, loading, storage and provision of dangerous goods shipments in compliance with all dangerous goods regulations
• Compliance with and monitoring of order and cleanliness
• Taking on further appropriate duties / special tasks as instructed by superiors
You should bring the following:
• Completed vocational training, ideally in the field of logistics / warehousing
• Extensive knowledge of physical air freight handling as well as the Hermes handling system and airline-specific programs is an advantage.
• Ideally, knowledge of handling hazardous materials
• Driver's license / forklift license (forklift license can be obtained if required)
• Suitability for operating industrial trucks
• Results-oriented and cross-functional thinking skills as well as process-oriented work
• Ability to prioritize tasks and a careful and systematic way of working
• Suitability for shift work (early, late and night shifts)
• Good German skills, both spoken and written • English skills, both spoken and written, are desirable
• Teamwork skills, reliability, flexibility and initiative • Resilience and a sense of responsibility
