The legal framework was also examined, as were concrete examples of deliveries to crisis and disaster areas. This highlighted the<strong> logistical challenges associated with humanitarian missions and the contribution that air freight makes in such situations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After an intensive exchange at the joint Network Breakfast, the program set course for the <strong>operational aspects of transport<\/strong>: The topic was the cargo handling of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. The possibilities of temperature-controlled pre-carriage transport and the use of active and passive packaging solutions were discussed, as well as their role in the tension between cost efficiency and sustainability. Lufthansa Cargo presented the latest developments in the pharmaceutical sector, which aim to increase transparency and thus trust in the supply chain. The day concluded with a presentation on the use of real-time data, which not only offers operational advantages but can also make an important contribution to the sustainable design of logistics processes.<br \/>\nAfter the flight through the diverse on-board program, some of the passengers still had a <strong>Pharma Tour at Frankfurt Airport<\/strong> This offered the opportunity to gain direct insight into the practical application of temperature-controlled apron transport and to take a look inside a freighter. A guided tour through temperature-controlled halls for handling pharmaceutical products rounded out the tour.<br \/>\nDespite the ongoing heatwave, passengers were able to enjoy this inaugural flight. The setting in &quot;The Aircraft&quot; also contributed to the special atmosphere on board, providing ideal conditions for conversation at a relaxed cruising altitude. At the end of the day, the passengers agreed: <strong>This first flight was not a one-way ticket \u2013 Pharma Day has the potential to become a regular scheduled flight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Common PreCheck enters the second project phase<\/h3>\n<p>From the <strong>August 1, 2025<\/strong> An important change in the slot booking process for the delivery and collection of air cargo at Frankfurt Airport comes into effect: <strong>The use of the Common PreCheck will be mandatory for all on-site slot bookings.<br \/>\n<\/strong>The aim of this measure is to standardize and streamline operational processes between the various freight handlers. The Common PreCheck will thus become the central point of contact for on-site slot bookings.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>What does that mean specifically?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drivers arriving at the airport without a pre-booked slot online can only book one via the Common PreCheck Point at Gate 32 (next to the entrance barriers to CargoCity South).<\/li>\n<li>Four terminals are available on site, providing access to allivate&#039;s FAIR@Link community system.<\/li>\n<li>Common PreCheck is available to all companies involved in the project:\n<ul>\n<li>Celebi<\/li>\n<li>FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services<\/li>\n<li>LUG aircargo handling<\/li>\n<li>Schenker (as freight forwarder)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Important:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>From August 1, 2025, slot bookings will no longer be possible via decentralized terminals at the aforementioned freight handlers and at Schenker.<br \/>\n<strong>We therefore strongly recommend booking a slot online early.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>To support the transition:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Directly next to the Common PreCheck, there is a free check-in parking area for trucks with a parking time of up to 30 minutes.<br \/>\nFor longer waiting times until the slot starts, the large truck parking lot P632 is located in the immediate vicinity of Gate 32.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please share this information with all relevant customers, drivers and partners to ensure a smooth transition.<\/strong><br \/>\nAn explanatory video on the Common PreCheck infrastructure (available in several languages) for distribution to your teams is available at the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2LGOxq57ysM&amp;list=PLCQZHIttZg6TuQeWTTQCNa3bj7aPkZTHL&amp;index=14\">Common PreCheck explained<\/a><br \/>\nIf you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.<\/p>\n<h3>Cargo Service Alert launched \u2013 test phase until October 2025<\/h3>\n<p>To further increase the resilience of our site to operational bottlenecks and incidents, mutual support at the site is crucial.<br \/>\nHowever, this can only succeed if all parties involved are informed quickly and reliably about operational disruptions or bottlenecks. The goal is to quickly communicate operational challenges\u2014such as technical issues, unforeseen staff shortages, capacity bottlenecks, or weather-related restrictions\u2014within the community, enabling immediate implementation of alternative procedures and mutual support within the community.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">This is how the reporting process works:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Reports are sent exclusively by affected companies using a standardized reporting template.<\/li>\n<li>The notification is sent to a central email address and is automatically and immediately forwarded to the member companies participating in the Cargo Service Alert.<\/li>\n<li>A defined contact person can be used to directly contact the affected company and the correct contact person.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up and final messages can be used to quickly inform about changing situations or the resolution of the situation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Many thanks to the more than 20 member companies participating in the test phase. We look forward to the results of the joint test.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Launch Pharma Section &amp; Pharma Card of Fraport<\/h3>\n<p>On the occasion of the <strong>Pharma Day of the Air Cargo Community<\/strong>, the Fraport AG-initiated <strong>Campaign on pharmaceutical logistics at the FRA site<\/strong>This includes, among other things, the expansion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frankfurt-cargohub.de\/de\/leistungen\/pharma-fra---europas-fuehrender-pharmahub-.html\">Website of Fraport AG<\/a> a new digital information offering on the topic: &quot;Pharma@FRA.&quot; It is specifically aimed at companies and partners from the pharmaceutical industry that use Frankfurt Airport as a logistics hub for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transport.<br \/>\nThe heart of the new section is the <strong>interactive pharmaceutical map<\/strong>, which for the first time offers a transparent overview of relevant infrastructure and service offerings related to sensitive pharmaceutical transport.
