The exemption was granted by the Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas and published on May 18, 2026 in issue no. 21\/2026 of the Hessian State Gazette.
\nIt concerns the Sunday and public holiday driving ban for trucks over 7.5 tonnes permissible total mass and applies explicitly to the immediate area of Frankfurt Airport \u2013 from Gate 32 (CargoCity South) to Gate 25\/26 (CargoCity North) and vice versa, via Okrifteler Stra\u00dfe and the Airportring.
\nAs an association, we expressly welcome this decision by the authorities. It represents an important contribution to strengthening air freight at Frankfurt Airport and ensures the necessary flexibility for smooth and competitive freight operations.<\/p>\n
