The Perishable Center Frankfurt (PCF), founded in June 1995, is Europe's largest and most modern air cargo transshipment center for temperature-controlled goods, located on the apron of Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest commercial airport. Spanning over 9,000 square meters, the PCF offers temperature-controlled services 24/7, 365 days a year, in 20 different climate zones tailored to specific product groups. Approximately 120 employees ensure smooth operations and a continuous cold chain.

In this role, you will play a central part in ensuring, monitoring, and continuously improving our quality and hygiene standards. You will make a significant contribution to ensuring the sustainable compliance with all relevant internal regulations as well as external norms and standards in the operational environment. You will act with a high degree of personal responsibility, a strong quality awareness, and in close collaboration with management and the central Quality Management department.

Your tasks

• Ensuring compliance with and ongoing monitoring of all requirements from the quality management and hygiene manual
• Implementation and assurance of compliance with the requirements of the currently valid IFS Logistics Standard
  Maintenance, control and continuous updating of all controlled documents within the quality management system
• Identification of quality- and damage-related weaknesses and initiation of suitable preventive and corrective measures
• Maintenance, monitoring and further development of the HACCP system
• Implementation of suitable measures to protect foodstuffs in the sense of consistent and effective hygiene practices
• Development, monitoring and implementation of process-oriented targets within the framework of the continuous improvement process
• Active participation in the further development and optimization of the quality management system
• Conducting regular quality checks and internal controls
• Creation, revision and implementation of procedures and work instructions in coordination with the central quality management department.
• Preparation, support and management of internal and external audits
• Optional: Taking on the role in the area of food defense, including the implementation and monitoring of appropriate security measures.
• Responsibility for audits and certifications

As part of your role, you will coordinate and support the following audits and standards in particular:

IFS Logistics
CEIV
GDP
ORGANIC
MSC
Energy Audit
Nagel-Group internal audit

Your profile

• Successfully completed vocational training or studies related to quality management, food, logistics, hygiene or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in quality management, ideally in the areas of logistics, food safety or temperature-controlled services.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, hygiene requirements, audit management and quality-relevant processes.
• Experience with IFS Logistics; knowledge of other relevant standards and certifications is an advantage.
• Structured, analytical and independent work style
• Strong process and solution orientation as well as a pronounced sense of responsibility
• Confident demeanor, strong communication skills and assertiveness
• Confident handling of interfaces and the ability to sustainably embed quality requirements within the company.
