Air freight helps – commitment to people in need

Air freight not only plays a central role in the global supply of the economy and society – it is also active where Quick help saves livesTime and again, stakeholders in our industry demonstrate the immense responsibility and solidarity inherent in logistics. Two organizations based at Frankfurt Airport exemplify this commitment: Aviation Without Borders / Wings of Help e.V. and Cargo Human Care e.V.

Based in CargoCity South, the organization spreads its wings worldwide to help people in need. For over 20 years, it has provided rapid, unbureaucratic aid in crises and disasters – including in Ukraine, Turkey, Haiti, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, and the Ahr Valley. In addition to large-scale aid transports, Aviation Without Borders also establishes computer schools for young people in difficult circumstances, such as in refugee camps or emergency shelters.
Thanks to close cooperation with airlines, logistics companies, and Fraport AG, the organization has already been able to deliver over 10,000 tons of aid supplies to people in need worldwide. Currently, generators and medicines are being shipped via Frankfurt Airport to impoverished regions in Iraq.

Cargo Human Care e.V.
