Community News June 2024

The first half of 2024 was eventful. At the general meeting on June 20th at the IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport, the board was newly elected: Dr. Pierre-Dominique Prümm (Fraport) and Dietmar Focke (Lufthansa Cargo) remain in office. New to the board are Patrik Tschirch (LUG) as chairman and Christian Riege (Riege Software) as deputy. We celebrated our tenth anniversary at the IntercityHotel with a barbecue, quiz and the launch of our new TikTok channel "aircargocommunityfra". Visit our new website for current information and register for the Air Cargo Conference 2024 on September 4th and 5th. Other highlights were the first YACE after-work event, participation in the JP Morgan Run, a clean-up campaign in CargoCity South and a visit to the BPI at the airport.

Community News May 2024

In May we welcome the ISO Group to the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt. ISO, a leading IT company, will use its expertise to improve our digital integration and supply chain transparency. Biomindz Special Meet-up: Over 40 scientists from pharma and biotech visited the air freight processes at Frankfurt Airport and gained insights into the pharmaceutical warehouse of Aviapharm GmbH and then discussed the challenges and requirements of air freight transport.

Community News April 2024

May has begun and we hope you enjoyed the holiday. There was also a lot of new things in our community in April.
We welcome Pioneers4partner GmbH, ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN and SHAOKE Logistics.
The 4th Sustainability Day was held at the Fraport AG Visitor Center. There were discussions and presentations on sustainability initiatives in the air cargo industry, highlighted by contributions from Lufthansa Cargo, Sovereign Speed, Fraport and Kuehne+Nagel.
The Cargohub Master Plan was presented to cope with the growth of the air freight market. Cargo is expected to increase by 50% by 2040. Measures include digitization and expansion of cargo areas, including the new LogisticsHub West.
The fair on April 26 and 27 in Gateway Gardens was successful and attracted many interested people. The joint community stand has proven successful and will be continued in the future.

Community News March 2024

We welcome Hessen Aviation, Unilode Aviation Solutions GmbH, Chapman Freeborn Airmarketing GmbH and CargoSoft GmbH to the community.
Markus Gescheidle will be the new head of the Trucking competence team alongside Patrick Hof.
On April 26 and 27, the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt will be represented at the Airport Training and Job Fair.
Increase your visibility and support the Air Cargo Conference on September 4 and 5 at HOLM.

Community News May 2023

The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt was present in Munich, offered networking and exchanged ideas with other European cargo communities.
Young Air Cargo Executives (YACE) from Frankfurt took part in the World Cargo Symposium in Istanbul. Lea Walther gave a keynote speech on career development in aviation.
News from the competence teams: Human Capital is preparing to take part in a job fair, the date has been postponed. New flyer on pharmaceutical services at Frankfurt Airport has been created. The first Sustainability Exchange brought together experts and identified common goals.

Community News April 2023

In April, the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt welcomed two new members: Air Tech Transport & Logistics GmbH and All Service Sicherheitsdienste GmbH. Both enrich the group “Other service providers in the field of air freight transport”.
During the Easter peak in air freight, chocolate bunnies were distributed to operational employees to thank them for their work even on the holidays.
The first fireside chat of the year took place on April 20. Young professionals exchanged ideas about careers and work-life balance with Timo Stroh from DACHSER SE in a relaxed atmosphere.
The new competence teams “Human Capital” and “Communication & Marketing” have started their work. The “Human Capital” team has defined initial measures, including participation in job fairs and the creation of a job portal. The “Communication & Marketing” team will meet on May 4 to define its goals and tasks.

Community News March 2023

The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt welcomes three new members in March: CB Customs Broker GmbH (customs agency), HT RFS Solutions GmbH (air freight service provider) and WISAG Ground Service Frankfurt GmbH & Co. KG (cargo handling).
A member survey will be conducted in April to prioritize community activities and make development measurable.
The competency teams will be restructured, including a new “Trucking” team and the “Communications & Marketing” team. Members are invited to participate.
The 5th regional dialogue with a focus on sustainability took place on March 29. Over 60 participants from politics, business and associations discussed the performance and sustainability measures of the Frankfurt location.
On February 22, the ACCF, together with ProArbeit, DACHSER and CHI, presented the warehouse logistics and cargo handling workplaces at Frankfurt Airport. Employment advisors were given insights into digital logistics and work processes on site.

Community News February 2023

The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt reports on the progress of the "Common Pre-Check" and "Speedgate 2.0" projects. "Common Pre-Check" is intended to improve the traffic situation in CargoCity South (CCS) through central slot booking terminals. The conceptual design phase is expected to end at the end of Q1 2023.
“Speedgate 2.0” is examining alternative operating models for the under-utilized Speedgate and the Neutral Freight Transfer Point (NFÜP). The community is invited to participate in the projects.
The Community also coordinates negotiations with authorities to implement EU Regulation (EU) 2017/625 (OCR) for more efficient official controls.

Happy New Year & Restart Air Cargo Community Frankfurt

The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt is starting 2023 with new team members: Felix Toepsch is the new Managing Director and Mandy Anslinger has been hired as Office & Event Manager.
For 2023, the community's joint process projects, such as "Common Pre-Check" and "Speedgate 2.0", will be continued and further developed in order to achieve optimizations in operations. Lea Walther is leading the "Common Pre-Check" project and the first results of "Speedgate 2.0" are expected to be available in the first half of 2023.
The FRAchtpost, the community's information medium, is being revised to regularly report on project progress and technical content. Suggestions and requests for the FRAchtpost are welcome.
The new team wishes everyone a successful 2023 and looks forward to working together.
