Guidelines for truck handling at Frankfurt Airport

The Trucking Competence Team and the Cargo Handling Agents initiated the idea of common guidelines for handling truck deliveries and pickups at the cargo handling agents at Frankfurt Airport. The goal of this initiative is to create uniform ground rules for increased process compliance and thus make processing at the Frankfurt site more transparent, efficient, and predictable.
The freight handlers are currently working on developing their respective perspectives on the current draft from the Trucking Competence Team. The viewpoints of all parties will be consolidated and coordinated in the next step. The result should be a final, cross-site set of rules that will serve as a guideline for all companies involved in the process and establish a common framework for truck handling at Frankfurt Airport in the future.
This approach creates another important building block to strengthen cooperation at the location and sustainably secure Frankfurt's competitiveness as an air freight hub.

You do air freight – and we want to show you

The Air Cargo Community is launching a new LinkedIn campaign: In the coming weeks, we'll be spotlighting individual personalities in our industry and providing exciting insights into their career paths. We want to demonstrate how diverse, inspiring, and dynamic the air cargo world is – and put the people who shape it squarely in the spotlight.
The idea for this campaign came from our Marketing & Communications team – and we'd like to invite you to be a part of it! Do you have creative ideas for the campaign or would you like to be featured yourself? Then please contact me at any time. Mandy Anslinger – we look forward to your suggestions and contributions!

Automotive & Semiconductors in Focus: Status Quo in the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt

Together with Lufthansa Cargo, we would like to take a closer look at the two important commodities: automotive and semiconductors. The goal is to gain a current picture of the status quo and to determine whether there is interest within our community in further exploring these topics through specific formats, initiatives, or activities.
Please take a moment and participate in our two surveys by October 10, 2025 – your feedback is crucial for the next steps:
1. Automotive Survey
2. Semiconductors Survey
Thank you for your support!
