New members – Welcome to the community

We are pleased to have welcomed three new members to the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV in March.

The CB Customs Broker GmbH is a full-service customs agency and expert for customized customs clearance and digital customs solutions.

With the HT RFS Solutions GmbH The community gains another service provider for air freight and thus an additional member in the “Freight Forwarders” group.

As a freight handling company and another important system partner at the FRA location, we also welcome the WISAG Ground Service Frankfurt GmbH & Co. KG.

We are pleased about the additional freight expertise and the cooperation – welcome!

Member survey – your opinion is important to us!

In order to create the greatest possible added value for the community and our members, we in April a general member survey by. With the help of your feedback, we would like to prioritize community activities and set content and organizational priorities. At the same time, we would like to use your feedback to make the development of community work measurable.

As a member of the Air Cargo Community, you will receive the survey in the first week of April.

New competence team structure – call for participation

In addition to the projects, the ACCF competence teams play a key role in the development and implementation of site measures. After collaboration was made more difficult due to the pandemic and crisis, we are reorganizing the competence teams and calling on all members to participate. The previous "Trucker Round" will be incorporated as an independent "Trucking" competence team. The "Communication & Marketing" competence team has a cross-sectional function, because targeted communication is essential across all specialist topics.

5th Regional Dialogue on Air Cargo – Successful exchange between air cargo and politics

Frankfurt Airport is a magnet for companies and an engine for employment. Its competitive position must therefore be strengthened, said Stephanie Wüst, head of the economic department, at the 5th Regional Dialogue on Air Freight of the ACCF eV on March 29.

More than 60 participants, including many representatives from state and local politics, authorities, economic development agencies and associations, exchanged views on the performance and current issues of the FRA freight location. The focus was on the topic of sustainability. A survey among community members showed which sustainability measures are already being implemented.

A variety of sustainability dimensions were examined, such as sustainable employment and working conditions, equality goals, humanitarian aid, but of course also climate and environmental protection.

The survey shows that every second community member is certified in the area of climate/environmental protection and every third has set clear sustainability goals which are systematically pursued.

As a community, we are following the topic and are inviting people to an “ACCF Sustainability Exchange” in the second quarter to examine the community’s common sustainability potential and measures.

Successful careers day of the ACCF and the LTC with the ProArbeit Kreis Offenbach, DACHSER & CHI

Under the motto "We are the cargo makers", 15 ProArbeit job consultants were introduced to the warehouse logistics and cargo handling workplaces at Frankfurt Airport on February 22, 2023. An introductory event took place in the premises of Logistic Training Center GmbH in Neu-Isenburg.

Afterwards, the DACHSER SE AIR & Sea Logistics Center in Frankfurt and an air cargo warehouse belonging to CHI Deutschland Cargo Handling GmbH were visited. A lot of information was provided about the interesting work in logistics. The job advisors were able to see how digital a logistics warehouse now works and watch in an air freight handling hall how an explosives detection dog works or how an air freight pallet is built. The participants thanked us for the exciting insights.

We would like to thank our members DACHSER, CHI and the Logistic Training Center for their support and the successful presentation of the location.
