4. Topic Night: Aviation Security@FRA

The YACE team On September 8th, the fourth Topic Night was held. This time, the topic was one that shapes daily operations at Frankfurt Airport: the Aviation security at our location. The evening was hosted by All Service Sicherheitsdienste GmbH and Sovereign Speed in CargoCity South.

It started with Michael Scheder, All Service Security Services GmbH, with an overview of current developments and changes in the training of aviation security control personnel. Matthias Breitenstein, Air Freight Security Service GmbH, demonstrated, using specific incidents in the departure hall, where risks arise in daily handling and what consequences were drawn from them.
Stephan Gonter, Fraport AG, highlights the airport operator's perspective on current threat situations such as hybrid threats, radicalization, and the danger posed by insiders. The concluding remarks were delivered by Torsten Blanke, CORE spx by edd GmbH, with his explosives detection dog, by both impressively demonstrating how quickly and reliably hidden material can be located.

Four exciting perspectives on a topic that shapes everyday airport life. Many thanks to the speakers, the guests for the open discussions, as well as All Service Security Services and Sovereign Speed for their hospitality.
