Community News April 2023

In April, the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt welcomed two new members: Air Tech Transport & Logistics GmbH and All Service Sicherheitsdienste GmbH. Both enrich the group “Other service providers in the field of air freight transport”. During the Easter peak in air freight, chocolate bunnies were distributed to the operational employees to thank them for their work even on the holidays. The first fireside chat of the year took place on April 20th. Young professionals exchanged ideas about careers and work-life balance with Timo Stroh from DACHSER SE in a cozy atmosphere. The new competency teams “Human Capital” and “Communication & Marketing” have started their work. The “Human Capital” team has defined initial measures, including participation in job fairs and the creation of a job portal. The “Communication & Marketing” team will meet on May 4th to define its goals and tasks.

New members – Welcome to the community

We are pleased to welcome new members to the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV in April:
The Air Tech Transport & Logitics GmbH is an international transport service provider with an extensive European network. And the All Service Security Services GmbH operates as a national service provider in the areas of security and service, aviation, emergency call & service control center / mobile services.

Both new members will enrich member group IV: “Other service providers in the field of air freight transport”.

We look forward to working with you – welcome!

Easter at FRA

Air freight is usually at its peak during the Easter period. Despite the holidays, the community is at the FRA and ensures that air freight processes run smoothly. To sweeten the Easter period at the FRA, chocolate bunnies were again distributed to operational colleagues in the week before Easter. We hope that the refreshment was welcome.

Many thanks to the many colleagues who keep operations running every day, especially on holidays.

YACE fireside chat with Timo Stroh

The first fireside chat of the year took place on April 20th in a cozy atmosphere. Young Air Cargo Executives (YACE) were guests at Timo Stroh in the premises of the DACHSER SE.

Young professionals from our member companies had the opportunity to take a look behind the facade of the Head of Global Airfreight and Life Science & Healthcare: career path, milestones, attitude to work-life balance and priorities in life, but also what to avoid. The dialogue equipped the young professionals with new thoughts and gave them one or two ideas to take with them.

We are pleased that the format has started so positively and are looking forward to the next fireside chat!

Report from the competence teams: Kick-off for “Human Capital” and “Communication & Marketing”

In the March FRachtpost we informed you about the new competency team structure. We are pleased that we received a lot of feedback after calling for participation. To ensure that as many members as possible can take part, we would like to encourage participation again.

You can continue to Mandy Anslinger to Register for collaboration.

The kick-off meeting of the competence team Human Capital took place this week.

At the initial meeting, the overarching goals of the working group were defined. These include, among other things, the recruitment of qualified personnel for the location, increasing the attractiveness of the workplace (especially CCS) and (official) entry barriers for new employees (e.g. ZÜP). In order to achieve the overarching goals, concrete measures were identified and assigned to the goals. The first three measures will be worked out by small groups and presented at the next competence team meetings. The three active measures are:

  1. Conceptual design of a general ACCF presence for job/training fairs
The aim is to develop a general stand, including advertising material, dispersants, roll-ups, etc. The stand should be suitable for various job fairs.
  2. Requirements definition for the ACCF job portal
The ACCF website will be a central job portal for our community members. The functional requirements are being compiled for website development.
  3. Development of a general concept for vocational education days at the FRA
Career days are to be held again to introduce the FRA(cht) workplace. The program and content are being prepared for this.

The next meeting of the Human Capital team will take place on May 31st at 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in working with us, please contact Mandy Anslinger.

The competence team Communication & Marketing meets on May 4th at 4 p.m. The main focus here is on defining the goals and tasks of the team and determining the measures for further joint work. Are you interested in working with us? Mandy Anslinger happy to be there for you.

Do you have any questions or suggestions? We look forward to your message or call!

Best regards

Your team from Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV
