In his position, he takes over the care of the HubPerformance Competence Teams, Pharmaceuticals and Sustainability as well as the management of key cross-site projects such as the expansion of the Common PreCheck and the Truck Slot Booking Guidelines.

The first few weeks at the office were all about getting to know each other and conducting practical research. Through on-site company visits, meetings with members, competence team meetings, and events, he was able to gain some insights into the operational processes at the airport as well as the collaboration within the community. Trucking Competence Team: Focus on Current Topics
At the last meeting of the Trucking Competence Team there was Updates to the truck guidelines as well as the Trucker Map – Both topics will continue to be addressed and advanced.
A particular focus afterwards was on the Parking situation for trucks around Frankfurt Airport. Wallenborn illustrated the current situation in a video, both regarding short-term parking in CargoCity South and long-term parking in the immediate vicinity. It became clear once again that the available capacity is insufficient and that there are hardly any parking options, especially for drivers waiting at short notice, outside the designated areas of the Cargo Handling Agents. This can lead to towing, among other things – with corresponding process disruptions, delays, additional incident management, and further costs.
Claudia Bohner-Degrell from the FrankfurtRheinMain regional association also spoke about the current and future development of the truck parking situation The discussion included possible ideas such as truck parking space sharing and shared charging infrastructure.
In addition, the still largely paper-based document transport was a key topic. Wallenborn made it clear that digital solutions are needed here. In this context, allivate presented approaches such as a driver data pool and VerifiedID. A working group will be established within the competence team for further development.
