The Air Cargo Community eV, an independent association of key players in the Frankfurt air cargo location, celebrated its tenth anniversary at Frankfurt Airport. The board is made up of representatives from the association's four member groups. In addition, the two largest players at Frankfurt Airport each send one person to the board and will continue to be represented by Dr. Pierre-Dominique Prümm (Fraport AG) and Dietmar Focke (Lufthansa Cargo AG). In the group of freight forwarders, Susanne Klingler-Werner from UPS Supply Chain Solutions GmbH & Co. KG was confirmed in her position, as was Michael Hoppe from BARIG eV as a representative of the airlines. New additions are Patrik Tschirch (LUG aircargo handling GmbH) for the cargo handlers and Christian Riege (Riege Software International GmbH) for the service providers group. Patrik Tschirch was appointed the new chairman of the board and Christian Riege his deputy. "It is impressive to see how the community has grown over the years and how well the cooperation in the working groups and among the member companies works today. I am delighted to be part of the board again and to be able to help shape the future of air freight at Frankfurt Airport,” says Patrik Tschirch, who has been part of the community since its founding.

The Air Cargo Community eV has made significant progress in process optimization - including the implementation of a booking system for delivery slots and the digitalization of processes. Furthermore, the efficiency of the handling of pharmaceutical products has been increased. These improvements proved particularly valuable during the Corona pandemic and helped to maintain smooth operations.

The members of the Air Cargo Community today include more than 75 companies from various parts of the air freight chain. "As an association, we combine the strengths of our member companies to create holistic cargo expertise at Frankfurt Airport. The continuous growth in membership reflects the success of the past few years and allows us to look to the coming decade with motivation and optimism," says Felix Toepsch, General Manager of the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV

This dynamic was also clearly noticeable at the anniversary event, where, in addition to intensive networking, the community’s innovative approach was also visible and the new TikTok channel for location and personnel marketing “aircargocommunityfra“ was presented. The Air Cargo Community eV looks with confidence to the future and to the upcoming Air Cargo Conference,
which will take place for the 9th time on 4 and 5 September 2024 in the House of Logistics & Mobility (HOLM). Further information on the Air Cargo Conference can be found at www.air-cargo-conference.com.
