A delegation from the city of Neu-Isenburg gains insights into Frankfurt's air freight industry.

In February we had the pleasure of visiting the Mayor of Neu-Isenburg, Dirk Gene Hagelstein, City Councillor Stefan Schmidt and the Head of Economic Development Andrea Quilling to welcome you at Frankfurt Airport.

The visit was coordinated by Elke Wasser, head of the "People & Culture" competence team, and the ACCF, and offered a A valuable opportunity to showcase the capabilities and needs of our industry as well as Europe's largest cargo hub.n.

During the visit, we discussed the diverse jobs created by air freight in the Rhine-Main region, as well as the sector's significant contribution to Germany's overall value creation and economic strength. Felix Toepsch also emphasized how air freight plays a crucial role in maintaining Germany's import and export performance and supporting both national and international supply chains.

The talks were followed by a Guided tour of the handling facility of LUG aircargo handling GmbH. Patrik Tschirch offered an insightful look into operational processes and various career profiles in the air freight sector.

Strengthening pharmaceutical logistics: A look back at the 3rd Topic Night

On February 19th, the YACE Community in the premises of CEVA Logistics 3. Topic Night, this time with Focus on pharmaceutical air freight, a topic of great importance for our industry and region.

The evening offered three exciting presentations on various topics related to pharmaceutical air freight:
Joachim von Winning (Fraport AG) He gave an overview of the diverse infrastructure available at our airport for pharmaceutical and temperature-controlled cargo. He vividly highlighted the importance of the pharmaceutical industry for Germany and its regional strength in the Rhine-Main area.
Martin Joswig (CEVA Logistics) provided valuable perspectives on the particular challenges of transport planning from a freight forwarding point of view.
Finally, they offered Sascha Wagner (DACHSER) and Ann-Kathrin Köllner (Condor Airlines) an in-depth look at standards and certifications, including in particular the differences and special features of GDP and CEIV.

We thank the more than 25 guests from various member companies for their keen interest. A very special thank you goes to our speakers for their informative presentations!

A general note about the event format: The "Topic Nights" are regular evening events on selected topics in air freight and logistics. These take place at different member companies on a rotating basis, where experts from our community share their knowledge with interested colleagues.
The Topic Nights are coordinated by our junior team "YACE" and are designed as informal and easily accessible learning events. All employees of our member companies can participate free of charge.

Pharma Day 2026 – Ticket sales start on March 10th.

Following last year's great success, our industry event is entering its next round: On Pharma Day 2026 Together with our members and the Pharma competence team, we are once again connecting the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare industries with air freight.
