That was the Transport logistics 2023

After the Covid break, the transport logistic trade fair took place again this year in Munich.
The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt team was the contact point for its members at the Frankfurt Airport stand. At COM.together! on Thursday afternoon, they had the opportunity to network over Frankfurt specialties.

The second networking meeting of the European Cargo Communities (“European Cluster”) also took place as part of the trade fair. In a personal meeting with colleagues from the ADP, BRU & MAD airports, best practices, trends and joint project ideas could be exchanged.
We would especially like to thank the Fraport AG team for the opportunity to share a very well-attended exhibition stand.

YACE meets FACE

The Young Air Cargo Executives (YACE) from Frankfurt had the chance to exchange ideas with other young professionals at the World Cargo Symposium in Istanbul. YACE also played an active role in the program: Lea Walther opened the IATA Future Air Cargo Executives (FACE) Summit with a keynote speech on the topic of career development in the aviation industry after Corona.

The entire agenda of the summit was based on the motto "Attracting New Talent" in order to make career opportunities for young people in air cargo more transparent and at the same time secure the future of our industry. The Young Air Cargo Executives flew back to Frankfurt with new ideas and motivation to put the industry in a new light from the perspective of the younger generation. In order to gain inspiration and insights into the career paths of well-known representatives of the industry, the series of fireside chats has already begun and will enter the next round on June 29th. This time, Diana Schöneich, CEO of Georgi Handling, will talk about her path and provide a glimpse behind the scenes of success.

Report from the competence teams:

With “Human Capital” at the Airport Training and Job Fair (date changed)

A working group within the "Human Capital" competence team is currently preparing the presence of the Air Cargo Community at the Airport Training and Job Fair. The fair was scheduled to take place on June 16 and 17 in the Gateway Gardens park. For logistical reasons, the fair was cancelled at short notice by the organizer. As soon as we have the rescheduled date, we will contact all members again.

Pharma competence team with new flyer

The Pharma Competence Team has completed a flyer to present the services and key data relating to pharmaceuticals at Frankfurt Airport in time for the transport logistic trade fair in Munich. This is the first step towards increasing the visibility of the location and promoting the existing infrastructure. "Marketing Pharma" is currently being pursued in various working groups within the Pharma Competence Team, alongside other key areas of focus on processes, transparency and communication of pharmaceuticals in Frankfurt. If you are interested in helping to shape things and thus actively participating in the Pharma Competence Team, please feel free to contact us. Lea Walther report.

Sustainability in the ACCF – Start of the 1st Sustainability Exchange

On May 26, over 20 representatives of the community met for the first Sustainability Exchange. The aim of the event was to network the respective sustainability experts and to identify cross-community potentials and measures.
We would especially like to thank Radhika Ralhan and Susanne Klinger-Werner (UPS SCS), who gave the participants an overview of UPS' sustainability strategy as an introduction to the topic. Radhika emphasized the importance of cross-company exchange at the site and the agreement on common goals.

This year's regional dialogue was already dedicated to the topic of sustainability in March. The findings from this and the results of the last ACCF sustainability survey formed the basis for a lively discussion.
What happens next? – Following the event, the open topics will be structured and prepared in a small group of various member companies. Many thanks in advance for their support to Harald Sieke, Radhika Ralhan, Niko Hossain, Johannes Fehl, Moritz Tölke and Steve John.
The results will then be presented in a second Sustainability Exchange in order to decide on them and on the next steps.

Do you have any questions or suggestions? We look forward to your message or call!

Best regards

Your team from Air Cargo Community Frankfurt eV
