Biomindz Special Meet-up together with the ACCF
More than 40 scientists from pharmaceutical and biotech sectors experienced the transport processes for air freight at Frankfurt Airport.
First, a B777F from Lufthansa Cargo was inspected, where the group had the opportunity to take a look inside an empty cargo plane. Fraport AG's cool dollies were placed next to the plane. The participants learned about the dimensions and possibilities of air freight.
Following the tour of the ramp, the guests had the opportunity to gain an insight into Aviapharm GmbH's warehouse, which specializes in the handling of pharmaceutical products. Johannes Fehl explained the special features of the facility, which ensure safe and efficient handling of pharmaceutical shipments in the required temperature zones.
After the experts from pharmaceuticals and biotech had gained various impressions of air freight and the transport of pharmaceuticals, they exchanged ideas with the logisticians at a get-together in the premises of Aviapharm GmbH. There were many exciting discussions about the challenges of air freight and the transport requirements from a scientific perspective, which we can meet at the Pharma Hub Frankfurt.
We are working on more exciting projects – stay tuned to find out more!
