Important change: New entry regulations for CargoCity South

From Wednesday, November 6th, the entry regulations for CargoCity South will change. Each registration only entitles you to one entry and is valid from 3 hours before to 3 hours after the specified time. This regulation also applies to license plates that have already been registered. If you enter CargoCity South again, you will need to register again.

Visitors to CargoCity South who do not have a permit must register their visit via the Click-2-Drive system register. Immediately afterwards you will receive an email with the booking confirmation and a QR code. Entry will then take place automatically at the registered time using license plate recognition. If your license plate is not correctly recognized when entering, you can scan the QR code you received at the barrier.

Further information on how to reach CargoCities can be found here.

Competence team People & Culture – Presentation of the Gallup Study 2023 & Feelgood Management

Recruiting employees and trainees can be a major challenge. Many find it increasingly difficult to motivate staff and young talent and to meet their working world requirements.

Our People & Culture competence team took this as an opportunity to take a closer look. The basis was an input keynote that Angelika Wagner (UPS) had prepared for the team. The findings were prepared from the following focus topics:

🔍 The current Gallup study 2023, which offers valuable statistics and insights into the topics of employee engagement and employee well-being.

🤝 The concept of feel-good management, which represents the conscious creation of a positive working environment, especially in economically challenging times.

🚀 Strategies for effective performance management of high and low performers in the context of the ongoing shortage of skilled workers

Many thanks to Angelika Wagner for this input and the basis for a stimulating discussion in the competence team.

YACE on the apron control tower

A great experience for our Young Air Cargo Executives (YACE): The young talents of our community had the opportunity to visit the FRA apron control tower and gain first-hand insights into the processes and tasks of the apron controllers.

When aviation enthusiasts hear the word "tower", the job of air traffic controller at the German Air Traffic Control usually springs to mind. However, in addition to the DFS air traffic controllers, Frankfurt has a complex apron structure that also requires coordination and monitoring. This is where the apron controllers come into play. As employees of FRA-Apron Control GmbH, they are responsible for coordinating movements on the ground 24/7. The management of FRA-Apron Control took the time to guide our YACE members through the complex and fascinating work that the team does every day to keep the airport running smoothly. Their expertise and passion for aviation were inspiring to all of us.

Such experiences are exciting for our young talents, as they help them develop a deeper understanding of the many fields of activity in aviation and see the airport from a new perspective. We are looking forward to further new perspectives, which are already being planned.
