General Meeting
Our 14th Annual General Meeting The meeting took place on June 8th at the IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport and brought with it some news and personnel changes. Since the board is elected every two years, important decisions were once again on the agenda:
Re-election of the board
For the LCAG remains Frank Bauer still active on the board. Fraport AG However, there was one change: Since Dr. Pierre-Dominique Prümm has left the company, [name of successor] will take over with immediate effect. Dietmar Focke his seat on the board. Mr. Focke is by no means unknown in the community, as he was already involved in the association during his time as an LCAG board member.
In the group of Freight forwarders The members confirmed Susanne Klingler-Werner (UPS Supply Chain Solutions GmbH & Co. KG) in office. was also re-elected. Michael Hoppe (BARIG eV) as representative of the airlines. For the freight handlers remains Patrik Tschirch (LUG aircargo handling GmbH) in the board of directors, while Christian Riege (Riege Software International GmbH) and other service providers Patrik Tschirch was re-elected as chairman of the board and Christian Riege as his deputy. He successfully prevailed against two other candidates. At the subsequent board meeting, Patrik Tschirch was confirmed as chairman and Christian Riege as his deputy.
Current activities and strategic priorities
Besides the elections, we looked at lcurrent initiatives and upcoming events. Particularly gratifying: The review of the 2025 financial year was extremely positive. Thanks to intensive work in recent years, the association now stands on a sustainably strengthened financial foundation. continuous membership growth, successful events and forward-looking projects have contributed to this great result. This plus not only secures our financial stability, but also creates Space for new initiatives.
Last year we were pleased to welcome 20 new member companies to our ranks. This brings our strong community to a total of 115 members!

Growing together: Frankfurt and Shanghai strengthen their air freight partnership
Last week, our association had the Opportunity to introduce yourself and network with the cargo community at Shanghai Airport.
We were invited by Fraport AG and within the framework of the agreement concluded between Fraport (FRA) and AVINEX (PVG). Airport partnership a bilateral Community Day help shape the future.
Our CEO Patrik Tschirch and Managing Director Felix Toepsch They traveled to Shanghai together with a delegation of representatives from several member companies. Also present were... Fraport AG, CHI Deutschland Cargo Handling GmbH, EDT Express, FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services GmbH, GlobeCross, Lufthansa Cargo, LUG aircargo handling GmbH and SHAOKE Logistics as well as numerous local air freight and logistics representatives.

On site, we presented the work of the ACCF and the companies that had traveled with us. We also discussed key success factors that the To enable effective and cross-competitive collaboration within the Frankfurt air freight community.
The central goal of the airport partnership is it the To specifically strengthen freight flows between Frankfurt and Shanghai. Through close cooperation between both communities, cross-site initiatives will be developed to make air freight traffic between FRA and PVG more efficient, digital and seamless, thus enabling further growth at our location.
The visit marked the Kick-off for deeper cooperation at the working level. Some common topics will also be pursued further in the ACCF's competence teams in the future to ensure continuous progress and knowledge exchange.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this partnership and look forward to actively supporting the growth of our airport as a community.

Following the Community Day, we also had the opportunity to represent our community and the FRA location alongside some community partners at the German Pavilion at Air Cargo China.

Project GEKKO: New impetus for further education and securing skilled workers
How can companies better integrate continuing education into everyday work and provide targeted support for employees' professional development? This is the question addressed by the nationwide funded project GEKKO, in which the Education Academy for Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Transport (SLV) is involved as a project partner.
We are seeking companies that would like to participate as pilot companies in the development and testing of the continuing education mentor concept. Participating companies will receive support for three years and can provide free training for their employees and exchange ideas within a company network. Initially, there will be a particular focus on supporting both skilled and unskilled workers.
Interested companies are cordially invited to the free online information event on July 9, 2026. The project, participation opportunities, and a practical example from the company Kühne + Nagel will be presented there.
