We are proud to 4th DVZ Sustainability Day at the Fraport AG Visitor Center to have supported us. At the beginning, Max Philipp Conrady (Fraport) highlighted the key sustainability initiatives that shape the future of the air cargo community at FRA. Exciting discussions were held in which the challenges and perspectives for sustainability in the air cargo industry were discussed. The presentations by Bettina Jansen (Lufthansa Cargo), Moritz Tölke (Sovereign Speed), Jana Baschin (Fraport) and Dr. Fabiano Piccinno (Kuehne+Nagel) underlined FRA's joint efforts towards an environmentally conscious future. Many thanks to all speakers, participants and organizers for their contribution to a day of dialogue and progress. Our industry's commitment to sustainability is clearer than ever!

Future of Cargo at FRA

As Air Cargo Community Frankfurt, we are proud to share our commitment to consolidate our status as Europe's leading cargo hub. Our commitment was underlined when Pierre Dominique Prümm (Fraport), Max Philipp Conrady (Fraport) and Dietmar Focke (Lufthansa Cargo) presented the pioneering Cargohub Master Plan in the visitor center of Frankfurt Airport.

This master plan is Frankfurt Airport's strategic response to the expected growth of the air cargo market. By 2040, we expect over 3 million tonnes of cargo to be flown through Frankfurt, an increase of around 50% compared to the record high in 2021. We are evolving with changing cargo flows, digital transformation and increasing sustainability requirements. Our response includes extensive digitalisation of processes and the expansion of cargo areas. A key development is the creation of the new LogisticsHub West with an area of 250,000 square metres in the western part of Frankfurt Airport.

Pierre Dominique Prümm emphasizes that this initiative not only strengthens Frankfurt's position as the largest cargo hub in Europe for the future, but also sends strong signals for economic growth in Hesse and positions us in the heart of Germany and Europe. We are aware that such ambitious goals can only be achieved together. We rely on the strength of our cargo community, the trusting cooperation with our customers and partners and the continuous dialogue with our regional neighbors.

Max Philipp Conrady sums up our mission: “Creating the Future of Cargo. Together.” We firmly believe that progress can only be achieved in harmony with all stakeholders, especially our local community.

The community at the Airport Training and Job Fair

On 26 and 27 April the Airport training and job fair in Gateway Gardens and we were there as a community! The April weather was kind to us and at the same time attracted many exciting candidates to find out about the diverse training and career profiles at Frankfurt Airport. This meant that we were able to serve as the Air Cargo Community and, above all, to explain what air freight is all about.

For us, the idea of a joint community stand with as many member companies as possible has established itself as a successful concept. This will certainly not be the last training and job fair at which we have appeared as a community. We would of course be delighted if there were even more co-exhibitors on board next time!

We often receive inquiries from job seekers, which we are happy to forward to the community's HR experts. Are you also interested in the applicants? Then please let us know at info@fra-fr8.com who we can forward them to in the future.
